Dumpling Festival

28 May is Dumpling Festive- Duan Wu Jie

I'm pretty excited about this occasion. Coz I'll get to eat delicious dumpling! Up-to-date, I'd eaten 2 Nonya 'Chang' and 2 'bak chang'. Quite satify but can have more! hahaha! I wanna eat 'ki chang'!

Reminicing the past... my mother used to get very busy during this period... but she no longer gets busy now. Last time she'll help my grandma make 'ki chang'. And she'll make miniature ones...something like the size of five stones. Dip those mini 'ki chang' in icing sugar and put it into my mouth...Yummy!

Then she'll go to er yee house... to make Nonya 'chang'. Because last time I don't quite like to eat pork...she'll prepare her own ingredient and make chicken Nonya 'chang'. And because I don't like dried mushroom, she'll put in button mushrooms for me.

Then after that, she'll go to my da yee house to make 'bak chang'. Don't quite favour those fatty meat, but according to many...the 'bak chang' made in those days were delicious. Now...wonder if it's due to age...my da yee standard dropped... the 'bak chang' were no longer delicious as before.

I missed my ah ma's 'ki chang'. =) The dumpling festive reminds me of the past and makes me feel like getting back to the younger me! =) Going round the adults and watch them make the dumpling...help to select the white coloured rice for the 'ki chang'...and tasting the first batch of the freshly made dumpling.

Wish all a Happy Dumpling Festive. Enjoy your dumplings but don't forget to take control of your diet. Seeya~

Missing You All!

Hi peeps...

To all my 'lao peng you' out there! I'm missing you all leh!!!!!!!!! My 'lao peng you' includes......S13 girls and Beloveds....basically those whom I've not seen for a long long time. Of coz I missed horng horng the most coz she's the furthest. When Are We Meeting?? I've been blog hopping and I think it's a good platform to know how my friends are doing. Met Xin Yi at suntec recently. Wow! Didn't really meet up properly with oxy and ss and those guzheng peeps after we graduated.

What have I been doing recently?
I'd baked cookies and cheese cake. Both don't taste up to my expectations! I think the cookies are really not up to the standards, but yushi told me that it's nice. Wondering... Then the cheese cake! I just can't get back the same taste when I made it with s13 girls the last time. Why? haiz...

Besides Baking, I've working hard. Slogging hard for money of coz. Been working for the past 3 days and will continue for another 7 days before I get some rest days. Btw, tomorrow( 16 may) Samsonite having close door event at Suntec Convention Centre Rm 202. If you all want any good bargains, can come down to shop and also visit me. ahahah! Guess I'll be bored. I'll probably be one of the 2 girls working. I'll be missing company. The last closed door fair, I was with ying and sushi and some other friends I knew. This time, I'll be all alone. Besides the managers, I think I won't know any of the part timers. What to do! Still must work! Moolah! Moolah!

My Wish List for this holidays...
1) Eat Beach Road Prawn Mee!
2) Meet up with my friends
3) Watch Night at the Museum 2 and Angels & Demons

That's all folks! I'm off to play game.

Weird Stare

Today I went NTUC to buy some stuff... A packet of eggs and 2 alumnium tray.

The absent-minded paid for the stuff and left with the eggs only. I think the cashier tried to call me and an old couple were staring at me, but I just continue walking coz I didn't realise I need to get my tray as well. Haha!

So when I realised, I walked back. Btw, I took only about a few seconds to realise my mistake. Okay...So when I went back, the old couple keep staring at me! Glued thier sight on me, while the cashier stared as well. I was like........ DOT

Do you all need to give me that weird stare? I think the funniest part is that the elder people are gloating! They must be thinking... why this young chap is so forgetful.

After reading this... do u understand the moral of the story? haha! Elderly always say they're forgetful, but when they realise you're like them, they'll have no compassion....they'll laugh at your silly act. =)

That's all folks! Time for bed! Enjoying holidays now...
