Lesson Learnt From Organisational Behaviour
Lesson Learnt From Organisational Behaviour1. Conflict is unavoidable. Constructive conflict will be preferred! Constructive conflict refers to those arise from the task, no personal involvement at all.2. Be impartial. Do not judge others by appearance or hearsay3. EQ is very important. I think it's slightly important than IQToday is the submission of my organisational behaviour. Though I'd written the conclusion of the report on Sat, I think today is the day which I really concluded the whole organisational behaviour project with an important lesson learnt.Organisational behaviour is an extremely important module of all. It taught you about the different types of behaviour and gave insights on how to survive in a company later on. With the aid of OB, you'll be able to understand and master mind games better.Well, today, a very childish fight occured. WJ wasn't happy that, me, SH and MW reprinted the whole report without seeking permission from the other team mates. Errr....WJ said we did not respect her as our group mate. Seeking permission for such matter is extremely important because we're doing a group project. (*pause for a second. Did you go....What?!!)Hm... So I replied... 'We've got to reprint the whole project because RMIT assignment submission guideline states that we must print the report on single side' (first print was on double side). Quarrel started...but not particularly with me actually. MW shoot back...'You need not pay for the reprint'. The fighting went on and I'm really feeling so ridiculous! After I left the LT, I received a call from WJ asking me the exact page and line from the course guide of the requirement to print on single side. DOT! Such a ridiculous phone call! Quarrel with me so much...keep saying this is a group project yet we act on our own. When I sort of convinced her to let go on such trival matter (that's becoz I reminded her of her absence during the group meeting), she started to harp that she's hurt by MW remark. She thinks it's an insult to tell her that she need not pay for the reprint...it's as if saying that she doesn't have the money to pay. (* pause: are you rather puzzle now? haha)Well, WJ is actually pin-pointing at MW and not me, but she doesn't want to talk to MW and called me to tell me those shit. This is such a childish fight...WJ was pre-occupied with some negative hearsay of MW (too long to narrate now). So every meeting it's so clear that she's out to go against MW. MW was somehow insensitive with her reply. My first reply was...'it was RMIT criteria to print on single side'. But MW's reply was...'you need not pay for the reprint'.This incident has showed me...1. Personal conflict occur. WJ was against MW and not the reprint, but she uses the reprint part to flare up2. WJ was not impartial at all. She form an impression of MW by hearing what others say and not through interaction with her.3. Both do not display high EQ. WJ harp on such trival matter, while MW is not careful with words. That's all folks! Hope you all learnt a lesson from this lil story. If you happen not to understand me, please pardon me. Coz today's incident was a result of a chain effect... got to explain alot to fully understand what's happening.I go off liao! Seeya!
