Life is fragile

Well, life is fragile...and unpredictable.
The moment I knew that I'm getting out of the mess and moving on, I received another news. A shocking one...
My big aunt got breast cancer. It's the initial stage and we though after the op she'll be well. But after that doc discovered the cancerous cells has spread to her lymph nodes and it's the second stage.
Treatment is the only way to solve the problem and the only chance to live life to the fullest. But somehow she's a different thought. She didn't want to go for treatment and now every checkup she went to, my ah yee and cousin has to lie to her that they are for her high blood.
Well, I don't understand her thoughts and what she's going through definitely. It'll be a painful and dreaded process but all of us are ready to be her support. Everyone is helping in our little way. Her son has been taking time of to drive her to checkup. Daughter-in-law has been reading books on cancer, following the book instructions and cook her meals. Her daughter and ah yee accompained her to the doctor. And my ah ma often drop by her place after she went to the temple. Thankfully, the financial part is not an issue as she bought insurance many years ago and most part of the treatment fee is covered. What an irony...when everyone seems to shun insurance, it actually plays an important role when you're in need.
Well, you may think she's only my aunt and I won't feel as much. Well, being the only child, I spent alot of time with my cousins and my aunties. She took care of me when my mother went to work. I could still recall the scene where the lift black-out and my aunt hug me tightly to her and pacify me. In a way or another she took care of me and my mother. In difficult times she'll stand out to protect my mother from all the nasty words. She protected my ah yee from that idiotic women. She's always there when we needed her. Most importantly, she's my ah ma's bestfriend.
Well, I blog about this becoz of my hao peng you's entry. I hope everyone will always look at the other view of life. When obstacles come, embrace the downs and face it courageously.
ps: I hope no one will leave a tag on this entry. thx.
