first day of work

manz~! in just a month, I had ton twice! I'm so incredible manz~! I bet this coming new year I'm gonna do the same thing once again. Maybe I'll give up half way coz next day still have bbq. btw, I ton on prom day n on xmas eve.
this year's xmas abit boring. spent most of the day sleeping and played some sega. wanna play more sega actually, but my cousin wanna sleep loh! so pig manz~! everytime cum then sleep! okay anyway, I really did enjoyed myself on xmas eve. It's an usual one till now. eeyore gonna be my favourite character 'this season'. this phase sounds familiar.. hahaha! of coz no one can replace little mermaid. well, I'd received an eeyore hp accessory from siyih and n eeyore cup from qinqin. Really love them both. a big thankew to both, not forgeting yushi for her effort n ying, ling, horng for their cards n of coz charmaine for her very very pretty xmas tree!
I went for my first day of day last friday. well, quite a pleasant experience overall. I was standing outside the office for quite a while coz I can't get my supervisor as he's not there yet. The office was so big that no one knew who Felix(my boss) was. maybe that's becoz I was at the wrong door. My department was nearer to the main door but I was standing at the side door. Lucky I opened my mouth to ask and one smart or I should say kind alec brought my to where I was supposed to be. My colleagues were quite surprised that I could get there myself before I told them about this incident. well, they were nice people. But I only met 3 of them. the rest were on leave. 2 of them were poly grad,Shina n Noraidah(not sure abt the spelling n if I rem the name correctly) who joined only a few mths ago. another one was Jeffery, oldest n most senior. His my mentor of the day becoz my actual mentor was on leave till like wed. haiz~! anyway, he's a nice person. taught me alot n treated us lunch. he said that's his xmas present for us. Shina n Noraidah were nice people too n I guess I'll get along with them pretty well soon. Tomorrow gonna be my second day and I'll get to meet a few more new faces who had came back from leave. Another learning experience coming along... gonna go sleep liao!

Starting work!

Well, I'm officially starting work tomorrow~! I can feel the butterfiles in my stomach. Felt a little nervous. Hope everything will turn out fine tmr and it'll be a pleasant experience. Gotta search for suitable clothes..seeya
manz...i've got a prob. how to set time n date? that function seems to be disappeared. btw, it's 22 dec, 4.05pm now.

DBS

Hey~! A happy news to share. I'd found a job.
It'll be at chai chee techno park. DBS internet banking doing admin stuff...
Initially, I was really abit worried. Sent many resumes out but no one seems to be calling me up. But heck lah... just followed ying down to the agency to try luck. haha~! finally went for the first interview at starhub. although I did not get the job, the process is a good learning experience. during this period of time, I met many new faces and talked to many people, this kind of experience surely can't be gotten from text books.
Finally, one agency called me. wow~! I can say I'm exhilarated! wow~! did i spelt that correctly? hm... so yesterday went down to the agency and today I was confirmed for a job position. the bonus was that I need not go for any interview loh~ manz~!
well, my cousin said maybe it's an easy job that's why no need to interview. hm.... hope so. now it's the start of another challenge. have to try to fit into the working society. i'm just like a little kid in adults' world. wish me luck.

Jobs

Another prom pic...
I'm rather free now right. but my entries seem very little. hm... got lots to update.
Sunday finally got out of S'pore for a day. Well, ying and me were surrounded by aunties and uncles. Don't underestimate what the aunties and uncles can do. They can be noisier and crazier than youngsters like us. manz~ where does all those extra energy coming from? I'm really impressed.
Tuesday finally went to a recruit agency for interview. Thanks to ying, if not, I don't think I'll be called down that fast. Finally saw some hope for job. Well, they were rather fast. Wed I was called down for interview at starhub. Really being caught by surprise. I was in 3/4 pants and tee, and was practically pouring the good food down my throat. no time to really taste it manz~ what a waste. I was at Koo Kee Dumpling and Ramen. Okay so rush down the have a briefing. Luckily ying's clothes save me. at first I'm more formal than before. okay...at starhub, I was really nervous! more nervous than syco audition or even grading exam. Think that's because it's my first proper interview. Hm... don't think I got in coz ytd I received no call from the agency at all and if I'm selected I should be inform quickly coz need to start work asap mah.
Manz~! thurs went out with ying and qin. when qin got really hyper, it's really scary. hahaha! hm... we'd completed our mission! what mission? it's a secret! ha! well, it's really an enjoyable day! later I'm going to work with qin... pls spare me k? don't get too hyper pls. hahaha! hope she'll turn her target to yushi instead. hee~!
Friday finally stayed in Bedok! well, called my mum's fren who's working at singtel. can feel that he really put in an effort to help me look for jobs. nowadays, you can't look for jobs without going thru an agency loh. singtel looking for temp admin staff, but I can't go directly to them and had to go thru the agency coz they'd passed the recruitment to them. hm...quite stupid. but hope I can get that job. hope my mum's fren will be able to help me coz I don't have any experience on admin job and they're unlikely to select ppl like me.
time to wash up and get ready to meet qin and yushi liao~! seeya~! bye~!

Prom

Long time no see! this is my new pair of shoe. cute?
This is first time trying to put pic here. cool..hee! Prom was quite fun lah. the progamme was good but a little long winded. hm... food was bad. took pics but initially didn't know how to use the camera so lag behind by the no. of pics taken. luckily liang shi save me, if not i can't take pics already. this is the first testing pic taken when the camera is properly set. well, that night didn't go home at all. went to Balcony @ Heeren. nice place tough except that there're people smoking. and I met Bernard Lim( Wheel of fortune host) and Dick Lee. Cool~
This few days I had been out of house. Seems like I'm busy but I'm actually not lah. Well, today I had to stay at home which I dreaded! I don't wanna stay at home on sat! Never mind, i shall spent my day clearing my room which I've not done anything to my messy room since my last dasy of exam. such a bad girl n my mama had been nagging n nagging! I must stop her from doing so already. hee! I should also read my harry porter book and do some cross stitch. Tomorrow I'm going to Malaysia with ying n loads of uncles and aunties.. hm... must think of ways to keep ourselves occupied.
I need a job manz~! Life is getting abit boring now... and time to earn money. I'd sent out a few resumes and received no reply. I think it's because I only sent out my first one on Thurs night. I should be more patient. hm... that's all folks! Time to return to my plan. I should cut down my time spent on monopoly too~! hahaha!

SYCO

Yesterday was SYCO audition. I think a few of you already knew what had happened, but I thought I still wanna leave a memory of it here. (",)
Okay, yesterday reached tanjong pagar at 12pm to have lunch at Hans. People, you may wanna refrain from ordering Penne with Sambal Prawn. It's rather yucky. No taste of sambal to me loh although it's really spicy. In case you don't know, sambal and chili should taste a bit different.
After that reached SCH at 1pm. Me n ying were really damn early. Nothing to do so walked around and go visit our favourite place there- the toilet. okay, so after that went to register and realised our audition time was pushed rather back. But I still got to go for my sight reading first. At one glance at the score I thought...Wan Dan Le! haha! but after I tried it's really not difficult. People listen up... I practise in C diao.
Waited outside for an hour and finally went in at around 3.30pm. That's place was really pro loh. Basically what you played are recorded. So I started with my erhu solo- Chun Shi. My gosh! first line only already got mistake. Out of tune n wrong direction of bow. Haiz~! but heck lah...cont. btw, in between I did pause loh. really quite lan. I was eagerly waiting for them to ask me to stop, but I played the whole song. After that had to play the gaohu set piece. Laoshi initially asked me the play the second piece(more diff), but in the end he changed his mind and asked me to play the first one. He must be afraid that my tempo will be off loh! haiz~ Then for the scales he also ask me to play the simplest one. so obvious that he'll helping me loh. here comes the exciting part in case you think what I'd written previously were the standard procedure and nothing special. okay...the sight reading. As I had mentioned earlier I think the sight reading was easy and should be able to handle it rite. I played the first 2 note and was asked to stop. Gosh~! laoshi asked what am I playing manz. My mind really cork up liao. Don't quite understand initially.He asked what's C diao kong xian. manz...i said 6 3. Laoshi, Mr Quek n Lin fu qiang was like..."HUH??!!" pengz~! wrong answer. In the end I counted and realised it's G diao erhu so I said 5 2. damn~! That score write C diao rite? I really played C diao but that's erhu fingering. pengz loh! Anyway they asked me to continue and I just struggle to skim through that whole song loh. Really feel like dying.
After that Lin fu qiang started to asked me questions. First ques... Why you wanna join gaohu? I pause for quite a long time and replied " because my fren(wanying) in gaohu". Such superficial answer. Second question was "when you start playing gaohu?" I said sec 3 then laoshi went by saying "you also played zhonghu before rite", then I went " ya ya, I played zhonghu before". so dotz~!~! so lin was wondering how come I played gaohu for so long liao still will mix erhu and gaohu up. Then he went " how are you going to survive in orchestra when you need to keep changing all the diao". manz~! really really don't know what to say loh somemore he's looking so serious! so in the end low and quek tried to lighten the atomphere by saying my gaohu sounded not bad and I have a sec sch student look, don't look like one who had finished A level. That's from quek.
After I left that place, I msg laoshi to thank him for helping me. I think he helped me alot by siding me throughout loh. What he did to help me was really obvious. Hm... after that I realised our relationship wasn't that strained. really glad. Let me type his reply... first reply... What...very ashame to b my student meh!!! U got in anw! So long nv prac erhu of coz not that gd nw. But overall acceptable. second reply... So U must thk me, gv me a treat then... Btw glad to c u there for audition. Glad to c u picking up ur instru again! Quite touched actually...
